Once again, Groton has proved itself to be a great community! Our booth at Grotonfest generated new donors, cash donations and two winners: neighbors Ken Ferris and Michael Weinberg won our contest by guessing the correct amount of filling a bag with groceries. Their prize: a $50 gift card each to Forge and Vine.
Many people stopped by and learned about how easy it is to make such a huge and positive impact – by filling a bag with groceries just once every two months – and helping to provide food for those in need in our community who rely on the Loaves and Fishes food pantry.
A big thank you to our volunteers who staffed our table and especially to Forge and Vine for contributing the two gift cards to our lucky winners.
