Food Truly Does Equal Hope!

Loaves & Fishes’ mission is to provide nutritious food, in an atmosphere of kindness and respect, to individuals in need who reside in Ayer, Devens, Groton, Harvard, Littleton and Shirley.

You Can Make A Difference

Many of our neighbors choose between heating their homes, buying medications or feeding themselves and their families. The Groton Neighborhood Food Project is a great way to help those struggling by providing a reliable source of most needed items to Loaves & Fishes for distribution. Your contribution means so much!

Real People. Real Food. Real Help. Real Hope.

Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry has been lifting and feeding families since 1983. They provide food and support services and advocate for changes by their clients that will promote independence and self-reliance.

“Our clients are the children, the elderly, the families and the disabled. They are the people you pass at the grocery store, in the library, or at the gas station. They are the senior citizens making the difficult decisions about whether to spend their limited income on heating their homes, purchasing necessary medications or buying food. They are the single parents struggling to feed their children. They are veterans who proudly fought for our freedom and are now dealing with physical, emotional and financial challenges. They are the families that once led comfortable lives and are now faced with job loss and health issues. They are our neighbors.

The Groton Neighborhood Food Project plays an important role in supporting the Food Pantry. Not only do they contribute a significant and consistent amount of much needed food, they also help raise awareness to the urgent need in the communities we serve.”

  • I recently lost my position as an administrator and didn't qualify for public assistance. This is when I found loaves & Fishes and they provided support and assistance in my time of transition when no one else would.

  • On behalf of myself and my family, I would like to thank all of you who donate food, gifts, and your time to Loaves & Fishes. The last year has been very tough on our family, emotionally and financially, and all of you have eased so much worry in so many ways.

  • My neighbor suggested I visit your pantry. It was a very hard step to take, but I am grateful that I took that step. You have fed my family and treated us with respect and dignity. You've touched many more lives than you can imagine.
